Welcome to South Sound BMW.
BMW announced an allowance program for active duty service members and service members who recently finished active service (within 6 months). The allowance varies with BMW model and is in the form of a check sent directly from BMW to the customer. Our dealership adds an additional discount. Please visit the store for details.
Please also know that we have additional dealer discounts on our remaining 2007 inventory. Add that to the BMW promotion that runs through May 31, 2008 and you get the best deal in years.
Things to ponder: A round trip from Puyallup, WA to Bellevue, WA where a lot of Puyallup residents work would cost $15.00 per day on regular grade gas, times 20 days = $303.00 a month just to get to work if they drove my truck. On my bike, at 50 mpg on premium grade, it would cost me $128.00, a savings of $175.00. Spread that over a reasonable riding season and I’m deferring almost $1500 by using my bike.
A motorcycle is a cost effective mode of transportation. The other advantages are getting to use HOV lanes and, as modern BMW motorcycles meet stringent emissions standards, motorcyclists leave a comparatively small carbon footprint when evaluated against a four wheeler. That seems like a huge win on fuel savings, environmental, and traffic congestion dimensions.
BMW offers several fuel efficient motorcycles. My big K1200LT averages 48 mpg around town and over 50 mpg on the freeway. My K1200S was about the same if I could keep from twisting the throttle. In order to satisfy my inner hooligan, I forsake the K1200S for a K1200R and even with bad boy management achieves 40 mpg. An RT is 50+ mpg and a GT a little less. Would you believe a G series bike can get 70 mpg if you try? On an F800ST I averaged 60 mpg over a 3700 mile trip last September. The disclaimer is your mileage may vary, but the bottom line is any bike we sell is thrifty with fuel.
Stop in for a demo ride.
